Pictures of Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island
Driftwood Beach, on Jekyll Island in the US state of Georgia, is a beach that seems haunted by the tortured skeletons of old, dead trees. In spite of the name, these hundreds of trees littering the beach are not actually driftwood, but trees that are slowly being claimed by the ocean due to beach erosion. The overall effect is haunting and surreal.
Fine art black and white prints are available.
